RE: a Hecker's Stillwater Ford CUP — Issued 12/11/95,
Amended 10/23/01 & 1/8/02
Dear Jean,
I have had an opportunity to review your request to vacate the CUP at Lot 1, Block 1, Jacobs Addition
which facilitates off-site parking for Stillwater Ford. Generally, the City does not maintain significant
objections to the removal of this CUP. However, prior to the elimination of such use, the City must be
assured that adequate on-site (contiguous) parking is in place at the actual Ford site. Additionally, the other
terms of the CUP as issued must be completed.
To facilitate this discussion please remit a NEW site plan, prepared by a licensed land surveyor or architect
that depicts the parking at the Ford property in two ways, 527 stalls for sales/display and 93 stalls for retail
sales, auto service and employee parking. Please explicitly mark where employees are to park in RED.
Further, the City will need to contract with our Planning firm, NAC to review the compliance with the
balance of terms of the CUP. This will require a site visit and the preparation of a report. The fees related to
this review would need to be paid up front. I am estimating this fee at $500.00, overages or unutilized funds
would be adjusted for, and must be paid up front. Enclosed is a copy of the actual CUP documents and the
two amendments that discuss the terms of the approval. Once 1 have received these funds 1 will engage
NAC to review the site and issue a report. If that report is satisfactory, indicating that the terms of the CUP
have been met, the City can further contemplate releasing this CUP subject to the parking layout.
Please let me know if you have any questions,
Regards,
Eric Johnson
