Dear Ms. Johnson,
A site visit was made to your property at 6165 Beach Road by Dr. Kathy Widin and myself in regards to the ash tree
you expressed concem about. This tree located along the Upper 61st Street side of the residence is private.
Upon inspection of the tree it is apparent that some of the roots may have been cut by excavation for the water
service but the only visible roots that were cut were less than two(2) inches in diameter which likely won't affect the
tree. If you want to know if larger roots were damaged, digging is recommended. There is also a broken branch on
the street side of the tree.
Please recall that the water service line is owned by the property owner and is needed for water services. If digging or
removal is decided it is at your own expense. For tree pruning and removals tree services must be licensed in the City
of Oak Park Heights(list is available at City Hall).
If you have any questions regarding the tree, the site visit, or would like to meet for a site visit, please contact me at
