For the purposes of this meetin the were in compliance to the satisfaction of the Browns Creek En effective Tuesda of this week, the deadline. In realit Stillwater Ford is not y et in compliance and Centru Power has imporved considerabl In m memo I I explain what I am g oin g or have told these permit holders or their contractors. Oak Park Ponds was found in non-complaince and have been g iven new compliance dates to perform some specific tasks. The Board is also g oin g to re in writtin that the Cit contribute to the correction of the source of erosion. Jay Stillwater Ford Emplo Parkin Lot had made sufficient effort in fixin their erosion control that the Board did not find them in violation. No actions were taken. I will be takin further actions on Stillwater Ford. The stopped work on the project when the decided to chan the project from an emplo parkin lot to a conversion van sales center. Now after several weeks of the area la open and havin failed erosion control, the want permission to build the parkin lot to a sli different confi that will accommodate a future buildin We have been denied the permission and told them that the could install the curb and g utter alon Neal Avenue with a curb cut for the drivewa as shown on their ori plans. The ori curb cut is identical to the proposed curb cut for the conversion van sales center. Then install the erosion control fencin and the construction entrance in accordance with the ori plans while the Cit Council determines if the emplo parkin lot can be reconfi for a future buildin Toda I took a closer look at their erosion control fence and found that it must all be replaced. It is undersized. Their approved plan calls for the fence to be buried 6 inches in the g round and for the stakes to be 4 feet lon and driven 12 inches into the g round. The fence the installed does not meet an of these criteria. The had told us on Wednesda October 23, 2002 that the construction entrance was g oin g to be built later that da The entrance had not been built as of 4:30 PM on Thursda October 24, 2002. 1 told them on Wednesda that the could continue g ettin g read for the buildin the construction entrance and replace the fence as soon as the construction entrance was completed. Oak Park Station: The Browns Creek Permit violation was for not maintainin erosion control. Primaril the erosion control failed in the ditch, leadin into the northeast corner of the pond resultin in a delta of sediment formin in the pond. Brown Creek Board of Mana passed several motions. Below are m notes on their motions. 1. Findin that Goldrid Group was in violation of their permit. 2. 2. Re that Goldrid Group install new silt fences to protect the pond. 3. To remove the silt and sediment in the ditch and pond and have the project completed b their Januar meetin The dela until Januar is to allow them to work on frozen g round rather than tr to work in the mud. 4. That the ditch leadin from 58t" Street is a cause of the erosion and that Goldrid Group is to rip rap the ditch Memorial Avenue to a point to be determined b Browns Creek en and the Cit of Oak Park Hei that will effectivel stop the erosion. (I do not think that the law will write it up in this detail but that is what I think the chairman intent was in his motion.) 5. Browns Creek finds that the water causin the erosion is not exclusivel from the Oak Park Station propert and that b written correspondence the Board is re that Oak Park Hei storm water utilit work with Goldrid g roup in solvin the erosion propert in the ditch includin a financial contribution. Goldrid Group presented a cost estimate for doin the rip rap of $8600. However, the had onl received the estimate a few hours earlier and were not sure if the cost was from Memorial Avenue to the point that the undercuttin of the ditch was K TREE CITY U.S.A.
