Johnson; Jim Butler; Scott Richards; Mark Vierling Stillwater Motors - Landscape Plan I have reviewed the landscape plan for the Stillwater Motors project (dated 5/11/05) and have the following comments: 1. The landscaping is very minimal. I would like to see some landscaping around the building entrance and on the Stillwater Blvd. frontage to soften all the pavement. At the very least, planters with annuals, perennials and perhaps some shrubs could be used to enhance the appearance of the entrance and patio areas. 2. The plant species on the current plan are acceptable, being hardy and low maintenance trees and shrubs with few serious insect or disease problems. 3. The planting detail for trees and shrubs is incorrect. Each plant should be placed on firm soil at the bottom of the planting hole and the hole should be dug no deeper than the height of the root ball. Trees should not be wrapped at time of planting. Appropriate planting detail is included in the "Landscape Guidelines for Developers" which should have been included in the packet of materials they received from the city. 1
