Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 Re: Outside Storage of Construction Materials Dear Mr. Heffron: There has been a fireplace insert stored to the side of your garage for some time. At the same area there is a pad of bricks, where a vehicle is sometimes parked. Please be advised that: • The fireplace insert violates Nuisance Ordinance 1109 as it relates to its storage outside. The appliance needs to be disposed of or stored inside. You can contact City Hall to learn of disposal options from our local rubbish hauler. Additionally, the City Spring Clean-up is being held on May 7,2016 (notice of event enclosed). Please immediately relocate the appliance to the interior of your garage until such time it is disposed of. • The brick pad does not constitute a parking pad by City Ordinance. No vehicle parking shall occur to the yard area or upon this brick pad. If you wish to create a parking pad, City Zoning Ordinance does require that the pad extend from the existing driveway. A permit is required through the City. I have enclosed information relative to parking pad requirements. I was unable to locate a permit for a fireplace installation to your home. If work was done to replace the unit, a permit should have been collected and work inspected per Minnesota State Building Code. Please contact me with any questions you have regarding this communication and to discuss what work, if any, has been done to your home.
