WEEKLY NOTES— June 10th,2016
Zoning/Development Items
1. The City has not received any new applications.
2. The Planning Commission will be holding workshop with two"AIR B&B'-type o•• • a on 6/21 at City Hall at 4 pm for additional
discussions on regulations and options for permitting.(please -•-• the endo . invitation—this will be'••-(-•"as well)
3. Staff has revie =• a drainage situation at a property on Obrien Ave.where there appears to be some settling or land depression.Please
see the enclosed PLAT MAP for area in question.Essentially the water draining from these area homes is no longer flowing as designed—
from north to south—and probably has not for d%-t1 1-s.Some of th -= issues may be private in nature,but we will see where the City can
help and address any public drainage Issues.
ST.Croix River Crossing
The City has not yet r-•:ived the AS BUILTS for the storm water elements from MNDOT/AMES. A reminder has been sent.
Two construction updates: June 8th and 9th,See enclosed.
Other Items
• There is a Community Advisory meeting on 6/21/16 at the MCF-Stillwater on 6/21—2pm.See enclosed.
• I received an invitation from Commissioner Gary Kriesel to attend a meeting on 6/17/16 where a number of
communities and entities would be gathering to discuss riverfront recreation opportunities.I will be attending.That
invitation is enclosed.I believe Mayor McComber also =,-,:ved the invitation.
• MSCWMO—Agenda for 619/16
• STANTEC has provided a deadline letter to Hardrives for remaining punch list items from the 2014 Street
reconstruction work.The City still holds$60,000+in security and which would not be released until fully completed.
That letter is enclosed.

I think...the goal would be to develop a set of reasonable rules and process that would allow the activity and be fair to
other(or similar)operators yet can effectively deal with neighborhood issues when they arise.
