HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-08-08 Applicant Response to 08-03-16 TPC Ltr MENARD, August 8, 2016 RE: Oak Park Heights Menards Expansion Comments Dear Mr.Johnson, I received the comments from the city's planning consultant and the response to those comments is below and revised plans are attached. 1. The requested mailing labels are included in this package. 2. After further investigation only two of the three trees shown on the original plans is still alive and will need to be removed as part of this project.The Balsam Pine trees to be removed are shown in gray on the attached site plan. 3. The sliding doors that serve as an access from the garden center to the parking lot are going to be removed.The cash registers in the garden center are also going to be removed.The existing facade of a 4 foot tall concrete wall with the glass windows will be continued over this space to match the existing wall.This is all shown on the elevation page of the submittal.The removal of these doors will still comply with the fire code exit requirements. 4. Engineering plans will be submitted separately. 5. We will send a copy of our plans to the watershed to review. 6. It is not known what sort of interconnectivity if any will happen with the property to the north at this time. We are only bringing it up to show that we are willing to work with that developer when they do decide to move forward with plans. Sincerely, Menard, Inc.
