On Tuesday, March 1st there were excavation activities (frost breaking) occurring by Bolander without a soil scientist present at the site. This was a violation of item 4 as stated on Appendix B of your Conditional Use Permit. Work was stopped until the appropriate person came to the site - Eric Stommes GME Consultants. Please remind your contactor that a soil scientist must be on site and monitoring the project AT ALL TIMES. The person from Colander at the site was also reminded that curb protection must be installed. on Thursday, March 3 substantial soils removal and backfilling activities commenced. No curb protection, as required in item 1 - Appendix B, has been installed as well as no efforts have been made to protect the City's trail. The City will monitor the site for curb / trail damage once the project is complete and the spring thaw occurs. Should the City determine that these items are damaged, the City shall require these be repaired and/or replaced. Lastly, contrary t Minnesota law, none of the loads leaving the site have been covered/tarped. 1 would rec end yo peak with the contractor and address this situation.
