It is recognized that the Comprehensive Plan 2008 provided positive direction and strategies for the upcoming decade. The Comprehensive Plan 2040 process will update and reinforce those goals, policies and plans from the 2008 plan. Additionally, it will focus on the new issues and challenges this community will need to focus in the next ten years. Lee Mann, the City Engineer and I are currently in the process of developing a Work Program with timeline and budget. It is expected that the Comprehensive Plan process will begin in early 2017 and take about a year to complete with approval by the Metropolitan Council. We will have the Work Program available at your January meeting for comment and a recommendation to the City Council. Please find attached the Community Pages from the Local Planning Handbook for Oak Park Heights. This provides population, household, and employment forecasts as well as allocations for affordable housing and sewer.
