* Councilmember Swenson, seconded b Turn moved to approve $2,730.00
from the Police Dept. Forfeiture Acct. to purchase a replacement Radar Unit and
authorize an additional $500.00 for a rear mount for the Radar Unit if it is not
included. Carried 5-0.
V, Public Hearin
A. Public hearin to consider an application b Valle Senior Services Alliance for a
Planned Unit Development: Ma Schaaf ope-ned the Public Hearin at 7,-41, and
Administrator Melena read the Notice of the Public Hearin -
Administrator Melena said that Well needs are currentl bein anal and there is
a g ood possibilit that a new' well will be needed in the project area. The VSSA
was willin to work with the Cit on the buildin of a well shelter. Melena
recommended the rate plus 5 % for special assessment financin and, in exchan
work debit on the shelter.
Councilmember Turn seconded b Swenson, moved to close the public
hearin at 7:47. Carried 5-0.
Because there are mature oak trees in the development area, Councilmember Robert
recommended that the Arborist work with developers in dealin with potential oak
w ilt problems.

B. Public hearin on the Kern Business Center improvements of 1998: Ma
Schaaf opened the Public Hearin at 7:52, and Administrator Melena read the
Notice of the Public Hearin
En Anderlik reviewed the pendin assessments and char for the Kern
Center. Melena stated that all propert is assessed. Propert owners have fifteen
years to pa If propert owners choose, the do not have to pa an for the
first six y ears. The interest rate has yet to be determined.
