Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hagen:
It is my understanding that you have had the above-referenced house rented and that the
departing tenant has left behind the rubbish that is placed at the roadside. As the homeowner, it
is your responsibility to ensure that the rubbish is removed.
It is also my understanding that the tenant has been in communication with the City and has been
advised that the volume of trash is not such that it is an extra pick up from the City's trash
hauler. He was advised that he would need to arrange for it to be hauled away.
I stopped by the house this past Friday, June 9th and spoke with your Father, who happened to be
at the house. I let him know that we were contacted by the City trash hauler and that they would
not collect the rubbish due to its excess.
As of today, the rubbish remains more or less, as it did on the 9th of June and this accumulation
of rubbish is in violation of City Nuisance Ordinance 1109.03 Public Nuisances Affecting
Health, Safety, Comfort or Repose. A copy of this ordinance is enclosed.
This letter serves as the City's direction that you arrange to have the rubbish collected and
removed from the property as soon as possible, but no later than Thursday, June 29, 2017. You
may wish to contact the trash hauler and see if they can arrange a collection or arrange for a
dumpster to be delivered to your driveway. A compliance check will be made after the 29th
