Re: Wal-Mart Expansion- Oak Park Heights
Grading of Applebee's Pond
BRA File No. 55-04-000
This letter is in regards to the grading of the Applebee's pond as part of the Wal -Mart Expansion
in Oak Park Heights. It appears the existing pond bottom contours, as shown on your drawings,
were inaccurate. The pond will need to be re- graded to provide a bottom elevation equal to or
below the pond inlet and outlet.
The existing inlet on the east side of the pond is being removed and replaced as part of the CSM
and Lowe's Development; however, it is being installed at the existing inlet elevation. of 937.20.
Your contractor will need to-re,-grade the pond bottom to maintain a minimum 4' wide bottom
elevation of 937.20 for the entire length of the pond. The side slo p P es shall nit be greater than 3:
At the outlet, where the grades are lower than 937.20, the contractor shall slope the bottom at a
maximum 3:1 grade from the 937.20 elevation into the existing ground elevation at the structure.
