RE: Sunnyside Marina, Dock Reconstruction, Permit #79-6220, Lake St. Croix (82-1),
Washington County
Dear Mr. Kremer:
I am in receipt of your December 16th letter and the marina survey(dated 11/18/99),which was used
to calculate the existing "footprint" of the marina. You advised me that based on this survey, the
area of the "footprint" of Sunnyside Marina is 622,247 square feet or about 14.28 acres.
This information is exactly what I requested in my October 29, 1999 letter and is extremely well
done. You can now use this information to compare other proposed dock layouts, and to make sure
that any such proposals do not constitute an expansion of the marina.
In doing your layouts, please remember that any waterward extension of the dock systems must be
very limited, so that the no-wake zone does not have to be extended farther into Lake St. Croix.
When ready, please forward any proposals to reconfigure the marina to my office for review. Please
contact me or Area Hydrologist Molly Shodeen at 651-772-7910, if you have questions.
