Due to snow plowing problems caused this winter by some cars that were parked on the street-overnight,Police Chief
Lindy Swanson and City Administrator Mike Robertson proposed to the City Council that they consider banning on-street
overnight parking in the winter. The proposal would mean that no on-street parking would be allowed between the hours of
1:00 a.m.and 6:00 a.m.between November 1st and April 1st. This would allow the snowplows to more easily plow the street
from curb to curb.
The City Council took no action on this request in order to allow public feedback. The request will be considered again.
sometime this summer. What are your thoughts on this issue? Please call a'Councilmember,or call Administrator Robertson
at 439-4439 or Chief Swanson at 439-4723 and let us know what you think.
