The new owners which purchased the entire site from Dr. Connell, were demolishing some of the outbuildings. They were informed that they need a demolition permit. Matt McDonald came to City Hall and was advised about the need for a permit. He ultimately decided that he would not take these structures down. 1 have provided a follow-up letter to him indicating the City statutory authority and rules that may govern the development of the site. See enclosed information. Washington County has provided the City with a development application securing the City's costs for the review of their proposed expansion as it relates to their utilities and drainage issues. The County did also pay the $50,000 escrow deposit. Related to this, Tom Ozzello, Dennis Postler and 1 met with County representatives on Thursday to begin discussion on exact water, sewer and storm water improvement are to be proposed. At this point, the County will be working with Dennis Postler to finalize plans. The City Council will need to weigh in certain aspects of these improvement in the next couple of months and related to certain road improvement and the 62 and Osgood intersection. St. Croix River Crossin STH 36 Pro'ect & Other Trans • oration Issues Mr. Rick Arnebeck and Mr. Nick Thompson will be giving their depositions on the Municipal Consent matter on March 22, 2007. • The City's Public Works Department has finally eliminated its unreliable pager system and has replaced it with a NEXTEL system. Instead of handing off a pager, the person on weekend rounds would have that call listing forwarded to their phone automatically. While the costs will be greater, the two-way communication tool should prove to be valuable.
