The desi b Anchor Block appears ade includin the assumed loads and soil reinforcin There are
several notes on the drawin however, that state that the soil properties are assumed and must be verified in
the field durin construction. Some of the bearin pressures from the desi are fairl hi — on the order of
2,800 and 2,500 psf-
I recommend that a g eotechnical en inspect the foundation soils prior to placin the g ravel base for the
wall, and verif and document his opinion that the soils are at least as assumed. I have seen a si
bearin failure in the past occur in a ver similar situation.
