Review— Memorial Avenue North
FILE NO: 236.02 — 18.02
Dear Mr. Schultz:
The City is in receipt of your additional application materials submitted on March 26,
2018 for a proposed Holiday Inn Express on Memorial Avenue North, north of 58th
Street. With this letter we are notifying you that the application is not complete. As
indicated in our conversation with Kevin Hanson today, the City may deem it complete
with receipt of the following items by April 16, 2018. If possible, provide the lighting and
trail items by April 3, 2018.
1. Revise the plan to show a potential location for an 8-foot trail on the right of way
of Memorial Avenue North from the south property line to at least the front
entrance to the hotel.
2. Provide an alternative bollard light fixture that has a full cut off design. Also
provide an alternative wall fixture that provides a building light wash, only up and
down, on the façade.
3. Provide drainage calculations for the site.
4. Provide additional design detail and legal descriptions for the water and sewer
lines that are to be moved within the site as discussed during the conference call.
The Planning Commission will consider the application at a meeting scheduled for April
12, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Council chambers. Pending receipt of the
requested information, the City Council could act on the request at its April 24, 2018
meeting.
