During the later part of the plarming process, the city decided that the spaces could possibly be rented. As a result they needed to be changed to 10 feet off of p the property linc. However, in the process of having them changed to 1 feet off the property line, they C�i received their own address numbers. It has cox)) e to my attention over the past few weeks that this is going to be a serious problem. It is difficult for the police department, fire department and security rnoniton.ng company to decipher between 56 10 Mernor"al Avenue/5610 Memor'al Avenue Accessory Building; and also 5670 Mcmor'a ..Avenue /5670 Memorial Avenue Accessory Building. For example, the security a.lam - is went off last week at the 5670 Memorial Avenue Accessory Building. The police officer cane out to inspect the Wilding, but he only looked at 5670 Memorial Avenue and never looked at 5670 Memorial Avenue Accessory B ailding, which is where the problem vase Another example is when the alarms go off and the secun'ty company calls me, they are not able to tell ne x'ght away the exact building the problem is at. It takes them anyw here from 10 --- 15 minutes to figure it out, and by that tine it could be too late. In his experience of monitoring buildings, he has found that having them labeled as 5610A and 5 610B or 56 10- 1 and 5 6 10.2 is not a successful solution. I have also spoke with Brad Charmichael regarding the situation. He does not feel that the fire department will be able to figure out the difference between the buildings quickly enough in an emergency situation. For the safety of everyone concerned, and for w. A.T.E. Enterpjises's and the City's liability, the only solution to this problem is to assign the buildings their own address numbers. I would like to have 56 10 and 5612 Memorial Avenue Forth; and 5670 and 5672 M ern orial Avenue North. Because the bui Idinas were cbmiged to 10 feet off of the property line and are considered separate buildii)gs, I don't see why this should be a problem. When heading to the first box I noticed there are quite a few building and all looking the same. I asked Will if he was going to number the building like those on Memorial Ave. He then stated to me the issues with the City and I stated that I would help if I could. Conning from the public safety side of the world - to have each of the building numbered would be a great asset in saving time locating our destination. There was an instance where the OP PD was called to Zintle's and the officers never made it originally to the area where the breakin occurred. Again if the building were numbered we could be dispatched to the correct area. The Fire Department would like to see all the building in the Zintle area numbered.
