Cc: 'tmelena a@cityofoakkparkheights .cam`; ' jjohnson @cityofoakparkheights.com'; 'kdanielson a@cityofoakparkheights.com' Subject: RE: W.A.T. E Enterprises (Kern Center) The information John from Barr Engineering is requesting is a standard request for sites that are completely undeveloped with no infrastructure in place. We can provide documentation for the hydraulic calculations forming the basis for 5/25/00 memo, site contours, location of existing stormwater facilities and a copy of the construction plans. The developer will have to supply a letter stating the presence or absence of wetland on his/her site. The VBWD's rule that proposed runoff rate must match predevelopment runoff rates might pose some difficulties. Since the additional development will contribute additional runoff and a small increase in the peak flow out of the 12" control. The regional pond proposed immediately west of the Kerns Center will excede the VBWD's rule once it is constructed. f the VBWD is going to object to the current and/or future situation, we can always remind them that the option exists for re-- routing all of the storm water runoff to the south and keep it within the VBWD. This was the original drainage direction. The details as to why and how a pipe was originally constructed to the west is unknown. It may be that current drainage situation was influenced by the VBWD. Regardless, since the area to the south contains landlocked lakes, the VRWD will not view our reminder favorably.
