WEEKLY,NOTES — December 5, 2008
• The City has received no new applications for development.
• Per Council direction, ! have enclosed a final copy of the memo sent to
Baytown Township containing the City's comments on their Comprehensive
Plan.
• I have sent c short fetter fo Barbara Jerich of the Denny Hecker Corporation
reminding them that there are certain timelines in play in terms of
maintaining their CUP for the Ford site. They have one year to resume car
sales or the CUP does lapse. The City did also receive a notice from D.
Hecker Group regarding a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining
Notification Act) nofice, this relates to unemployment insurance and internal
union issues. The City is simply also provided the notice. 56 persons were
employed at the site.
• Per my email of Thursday, the City has received a Letter of Withdrawal from
Xcel Energy regarding their pursuit of an expansion of the Moelfer (fly-ash)
site. See enclosed.
• The City has received a request for clarification from Will Zintl regarding his
approved PUD for 5570 Memorial Ave.; specifically, the City approved the
construction of an office/warehousing type complex; in light of the
economy Mr. Zintl is seeking to make the facility somewhat smaller. Please
see Scott Richards enclosed Memo of 12/4. There is no needed PUD
amendment for a project reduction of this size, however please note that
there are no other drainage, parking or access issue being impacted by this
proposal.
• Mr. Tony Otley of 5336 Ojibway had 30 days to come into compliance wifh
all issues stemming from the City's citation earlier this fal1.1 have asked that
Jim Butler provide a finalized letter to the City Attorney's Jennifer Nodes)
office that clarifies that Mr. Otley has in fact come into compliance.
