Customer states that she saw and smelled smoke, called 911, fire DP came out and cleared the home, but called electricians and HVAC to clear the home for operation. After FD left, customer states that she heard clicking, buzzing, and saw smoke coming from behind the refrigerator. The refrigerator motor burned out. As far as the furnace, there are no visible cracks in the heat exchanger, no rise on 02, and no CO detected in the supply air. The ducting is on very poor shape. There are a number of places where uncertified fabric duct tape is used. Places where cardboard and plywood are acting as a vent obstruction, and some vents are venting below the subfloor. The duct work and venting system is not up to code and should be brought up to code before operation of the furnace and venting. Apollo is not responsible for anything that occurs due to the operation of this system before it is brought up to code. Electrical switch to the furnace and the gas valve were left in the off position before leaving please see other attached reports for further info. The landlord states that he just bought a bucket attachment from Maynard's, that's what he has at his place. The dryer power supply is hanging from a piece of wiring. This dryer is not properly vented and should not be used until it is vented and connected to a proper power supply per code.
