Re: Yard Maintenance -Second Compliance Request
Dear Jason & Kelly:
I am writing to you, following up on my letter mailed September 7, 2018 (which had an incorrect date of June
5, 2017 from a previous letter mailed to you) regarding the condition of the yard area at your home.
In that letter I notified you:
(1) That the shrubs throughout your property needed to be trimmed; particularly those at the front of the
house on 65th and those at the corner of 65th having grown to a point that they created a visual
obstruction and safety hazard to vehicular traffic site lines at the corner. You were provided with a
copy of City of Oak Park Heights Public Nuisance Ordinance 1109.
(2) That vehicles (including campers) parked off the gravel driveway and upon the yard area, are required
by City Ordinance to be parked upon a hard surface, and needed to be relocated to the driveway or
removed.
You were requested to abate the non-compliance no later than September 24, 2018, by trimming of the
shrubs and other vegetation at the property and removing vehicles parked upon the grass or relocating them
to your driveway.
A compliance check was made after September 24th. It appears that the vegetation at the corner of 65th has
been trimmed back and the camper relocated to the driveway; thank you. There does not appear to have
been any other work toward trimming/cutting back the other vegetation at the house and much of it remains
overgrown.
This letter serves as the City's second notice of compliance request that you abate the nuisance of your
overgrown vegetation throughout the property to comply with ordinance 1109.03 with regard to noxious
weeds and rank growths. Compliance shall be made no later than Friday, October 12, 2018. A compliance
visit shall be made after October 12th

Your prompt attention is required. If compliance is not found after October 12th, the City shall forward the
matter to the Oak Park Heights Police Department and/or City Attorney's office for possible citation. Please
contact me with any questions you may have.
