Re: Taco Bell—Exterior Wall Pack Light at Drive-Through Window Area
Dear Manager:
Please be advised that the wall pack lighting fixture placed at the drive-through window area does not
comply with City Ordinance requirements, which requires that all outdoor lighting be fully shielded.
Simply put, this means that the lens through which light is emitted shall not extend beyond a solid
material, which restricts light emission, above and to each side of the fixture. This is also known as a
full or total cut off.
There is one wall-pack at the buildings East side,by the drive-through area window. This fixture
requires correction so that it provides full-cut off lighting. For your convenience,I have enclosed
sections of City Ordinance 401.02.b and 401.15.B.7 as they relate to outdoor lighting and have
highlighted the diagrams on page 02-14 and 02-15 for your reference in attending to this matter.
With this letter, you are requested to take the steps necessary to bring the fixture into compliance
with City Ordinance no later than July 30,2009.
Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding this request. I appreciate your prompt
attention to this request and thank you in advance. Kindly let me know when the corrections have
been made so that they may be inspected.
Sincerely,
41,
