1. The City has been copied on the INFORMATIONAL LETETR ft has been sent
out by ST. Croix Events regarding the upcoming Stillwater Marathon. This is
supposed to be mailed to residents of Oak Park Heights in the "Village Area'
and areas north of STH 36, east of Panama Ave.
2. I had met with A.S. King Plant Officials regarding the possible construction of
a 60' X 60' shell building to store well fly - ash slurry. This building is to be
located directly adjacent to the main stack. This will be discussed by staff
next Wednesday for possible zoning or building permit guidance.
3. I had net with DJ Raduenz for some follow-up discussion from the Cify's
Tuesday Worksession as to a possible purchase of property. At this time
Stillwater Motors has been informed that it will be losing its JEEP line. General
Motors will also be releasing information about reducing dealership very
soon.
4. McDonald's did submit an application for a tear-down and rebuild project.
This will be before the Planning Commission in June.
city Hall Facility
I have enclosed a copy of the recent mailing to over 450 homes near the City Hall
Facility Building Area. I have posted a sign at east entrance to City Hall indicating
that this entrance will be closing on May 26
Generally speaking, the City has not received a site complaint nor phone calls from
the Pine Grove Gardens residents for tree removals. Hopefully the trees saved and
the final site plan will prove satisfactory once completed.
The City Council sought information regarding the possible location of picketers of
the City's contractor. 1 had an opportunity to discuss this with Dave Snyder of
Eckberg-Lamrners and I have created the enclosed memo that delineates and
available area for picketers should this need become apparent. This is a draft
