Prior to our meeting, we had alerted your staff to sorne of the questions we had about the application and the process that the Minnesota Pollution Control A would use; in reviewing the application, It was not our intent to surprise you with this infoniiation, but rather alert you to some of the concerns that we have been hearing from community mernbers. W e offerod to follow up with you regarding how you might direot M1 staff` to proceed in working with and responding to the comillunity and the concerns that they have brought to our attention regarding management of the cun•e11t site. Regardless of whether the expansion application is approved by the M1 CA and City of Oak Park Heights, we believe the following allegations raised by our constituents are worthy of investigation by the MITA.. We would further suggest that the MPCA investigate theso issues in more depth before holding a community meeting so that MPCA staffs are better able to respond to the allegations or at least comment on how /if the MICA, plans to proceed in investigating then.
