This review is limited to the provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code, Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714 and
assumes the data on which the design is based are correct. Approval is contingent upon meeting the
requirement(s)listed below. A copy of the approved plans and this report must be retained at the project
location.
INSPECTIONS: The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry(DLI)will be inspecting the plumbing for
this project. Please contact Kara Topper at 651/279-3418 for all plumbing inspections. No plumbing work may
be covered prior to inspection. The installer must verify that the required inspection fee has been submitted

REQUIREMENT(S):
1. All plumbing shall be installed in accordance with the 2015 Minnesota Plumbing Code,Chapter
4714. Unless prior authorization is granted by the Administrative Authority,all pipe, pipe fittings,traps,
fixtures,material,and devices used in the plumbing system shall meet Code Sections 301.1 and 1401.1:
(1)be listed or labeled(third party certified)by a listing agency;
(2)comply with the approved applicable recognized standards referenced in this code;
(3)be free from defects.
2. All floor drains must be individually vented(see Sections 418.2 and 1002.1). The trap to vent distance must
meet Table 1002.2.
3. The water supply connection to a commercial dishwashing machine shall be protected by an air gap or a
backflow prevention device in accordance with Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Section 603.3.2, 603.3.5, or
603.3.6.
4. A cleanout should be provided where new waste and vent piping connects with existing for testing.
NOTE(S):
1. The scope of this project consists of remodeling an existing building. The plumbing installation includes a
tell-tale floor drain and a commercial dishwasher.
2. The building is served by existing municipal sewer and water services.
