Councilmember Turn seconded b Beaudet, moved to approve
the Consent A as amended. Carried 5-0.
Councilmember Robert re that the Parks report be amended
to read, "Councilmember Robert reported that the Cit has
received a 10 000 g rant from the DNR for prairie restoration.
Councilmember Beaudet said that the date for the next 'MO meetin
should read September 24 at 7:30 pm.
Councilmember Turn seconded b Beaudet, moved to approve
the minutes with chan Carried 5-0.
Public Hearin
Re for a Special Home Occupation Permit - Beauty Sho - Mar
Stenfors,.---5323 O'Brien Avenue - Ma Schaaf opened the Public
Hearin at 7:30. Ms. Stenfors was present and explained that she
wanted to operate a beaut shop in her home. Stenfors noted that
her hours of operation would be Monda Wednesda and Frida
from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesda and Thursda from 1:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m., and Saturda from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Stenfors
said that she would construct a private entrance in the rear of
the house so as to not disturb her nei
Bill Paule of 5311 O'Brien Avenue said that he wanted to be
assured that the Council retains authorit to revoke the license
at a future date if there are problems. Cit Attorne Vierlin
indicated to Paule that a Special Home Occupation License runs
with the business, not the land, and the Council can amend or
revoke it at an time.
William Kaine of 5324 Ojibwa said that he was opposed to the
g rantin g of the license because of the traffic it would g enerate.
He said that he felt a business should not be located in a
residential nei and that Ms. Stenfors should rent a
commercial space for her beaut shop.
