Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 RE: Retaining Wall, Fence Screening, Yard Parking/Parking Pads& Driveway Condition Dear Correy& Michelle, Thanks for meeting with me yesterday afternoon to discuss things at your home. We covered a lot of ground. Enclosed is your retaining wall permit, inspection record and receipt for the permit. This file is closed. With regard to the fence screening, we did discuss some options to get the support down and the material adequately attached so that it is no taller than 7-feet at any point. 7-feet is the maximum height allowance for privacy fencing in Oak Park Height per City Zoning Ordinance 401. You are to consider options to reduce the height and let me know no later than Friday, August 7th, what your plan is for the fence screening. In any case the fence shall be reduced to a complying height or removed no later than Friday, August 21St. I will need to verify either status. Please email me at your soonest to let me know what you plan. As per our conversation, parking upon the yard is prohibited by City Ordinance. The trailer on the rear, side- yard needs to be placed upon your driveway. Please have this done by Friday, August 10. I have enclosed information regarding the requirements for parking pads/driveway alterations as per our discussion about potentially expansion and/or replacement of your driveway. Note that until September 30, 2020, the fee for this type of project would be waived. After that it is$25 flat rate. Contractors are required to be licensed. I took photos of the disturbed/damaged area of your concrete drive, you noted as having been crated by Xcel Energy's sub-contractor for work in your neighborhood. I will email these photos to City Public Works Director, Andy Kegley and City Administrator, Eric Johnson and cc you to the communication so that you folks can work with them toward getting your driveway put back in good condition. If I can be of further assistance, please reach out. Moving forward let's strive to get our information shared and permits issued before commencing on work projects.
