Re: Property Information
Lori,
My apology in the delay getting information over to you, after our conversation about the property
issue you shared. Recall, that with regard to the fence, your home has a pool and a fence would
have been required as per MN State Code. Based on that premise, I would expect the fence to be
yours. No fence permits at 14291 have been pulled. 14295 did pull a fence permit, which you were
familiar with, having signed off on the Memorandum for its placement in 2008 (a copy is enclosed).
I have gathered a bunch of information based on our conversation and hope that some of it will help
you.
1. A web map from Washington County's online parcel viewer: It denotes, your and
your immediately adjacent side yard neighbors to each have an 8'x 135' lot. Keep in
mind that this if for reference and that it is not a survey, so it is not a tool that can be
used for survey argument. An actual property survey would be required. I did not
locate one for any of these three properties within the property files.
2. Ordinance 401.15.E Fencing, Screening and Landscaping: This ordinance also covers
retaining wall placement.
3. Ordinance 401.15.D Accessory Buildings, Uses and Equipment: This ordinance covers the
zoning specifics for garage and shed placement—known as accessory buildings.
4. Permits: Copies of each of the permits found within your property file, starting with
the most recent, going back to the date of the home construction in 1977.
The most recent permit is for an AC replacement. If that unit has been installed, please let me know
and I will coordinate coming by to inspect the installation.
Wishing you well,
