Re: Keep It Growing LLC dba Smoke Shack U-Haul Sales&Storage Operation at 14375 60th St.
Dear Mr. Goblirsch and Mr. Durweiler:
In late September, you spoke with City Administrator, Eric Johnson with regard to the U-Haul Sales&Storage
operation being conducted by your business. At that time, you were informed that such a secondary
operation would require a Conditional Use Permit to your primary business operation—Keep It Growing LLC
dba Smoke Shack. Allowing for a cycle of rental and return to occur, you were afforded a 30-day window of
time to cease the operation and have the equipment removed.
As of this writing, the business operation appears to remain operational and is in violation of City Ordinance
401.30.E,which requires a Conditional Use Permit for open and outdoor storage and open and outdoor
service, sale and rental as an accessory use to your principle business operation. City Ordinance violations
are subject to misdemeanor citation.
With this letter you are directed to cease all U-Haul business operations and have the equipment fully
removed from the retail area property no later than the end of the day Thursday, November 5,2020. Failure
to meet compliance by this deadline may result in revocation of other licenses issued to your principal
business and the matter being forward to the Oak Park Heights Police Department for citation consideration.
Call immediately with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
PLANNING &CODE ENFORCMENT
