Closed Business Sign Removal and Site Maintenance — Step 2 Compliance Notification
Dear Mr. Wolfson:
City Ordinance 401.15.G requires closed business signage to be removed within 30 days of the business
closure and that the sign mounting surface be returned to its original condition or to a proper condition
consistent with the present appearance of the area, building wall or surface. Central Automotive moved
from the above -referenced address on or about June 29, 2021, at which time you were provided a written
request to address the matter by July 29t1. No change to the fagade to address compliance has been
undertaken.
Additionally, you were asked to ensure that site maintenance was kept up, including lawn care and
rubbish removal. As of this morning, the grass/weeds at the site, including the right-of-way and to the
direct wall of the building need to be attended to and are in violation of City Nuisance Ordinance
1109.03.14 with regard to noxious weeds, tall grasses and other rank growths upon the property.
Compliance to City Ordinance shall be met no later than Tuesday September 21 2021 by:
Cleaning, repairing as needed, and painting the north and east facades of the building so that the
facades are returned to a proper condition and so that the lettering of the removed signs are not
visible.
2. Mowing the site and attending to the weeds through lawn maintenance and/or other weed control
methods so that they are removed from the property yard area and from the hard surface areas at
the building itself.
If compliance is not achieved following September 21, 2021, please be advised that the matter shall be
remanded to the City Police Department and/or the City Attorney's office for citation consideration.
