Dear Mr. Phillips:
RE: Water testing at 5272 Stagecoach Trail in the City of Oak Park Heights
On December 9 and December 10, 1998, I collected water samples from the location
referenced above per your request and at the request of the City of Oak Park Heights. The
samples were analyzed for 69 volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), 8 metals, sulfate, total
coliform and nitrate-nitrogen by the Minnesota Department of Health laboratory. Enclosed is
the Final Reports on all tests.
Please note that all sample results were within an acceptable range.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at 651-430-6703.

Dear Mr. Phillips:
RE: Water testing at 5272 Stagecoach Trail in the City of Oak Park Heights
On December 9 and December 10, 1998, I collected water samples from the location
referenced above per your request and at the request of the City of Oak Park Heights to
investigate concerns related to suspect groundwater contamination from the former Dunker
Transfer Station. The samples were analyzed for 69 volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), 8
metals, sulfate, total coliform and nitrate-nitrogen by the Minnesota Department of Health
laboratory. To date, we have received preliminary reports on all tests with the exception of
sulfate, scheduled for analysis on December 17, 1998.
No VOCs were detected above the laboratory reporting limit. VOCs are a category of
chemicals which include solvents, cleaners, and petroleum products. No metals (arsenic,
barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium or silver) were detected above the
laboratory reporting limit. Nitrate-nitrogen was not present in your sample and total coliform
bacteria was absent. Together, testing for total coliform and nitrate-nitrogen are the EPA
established indicators of sanitary drinking water quality.
I will forward copies of the sulfate results and final copies of all results referenced above as
soon as they are received in this office. If you have any questions regarding this matter,
please contact me at 651-430-6703.
Sincerely,
Cindy Weir , REHS
