I apologize for not informing you of this change prior to Stillwater sending out their bills. The City of Oak Park Heights was under the impression that your first Stillwater sewer bill was going to arrive in March. Because your sanitary sewer flows into the City of Stillwater trunk sewer main, Stillwater will be billing you quarterly for your sewer services. As stated above the bill your just received isfor you sanitary sewer services for the first quarter 2002 and is not due until :. April 10 2002. The utility bill you receive from Oak Park Heights in February will be for your utility use in December 2001 and will be the last bill with sewer services on it from Oak Park Heights: You will continue to receive a monthly utility bill from Oak Park Heights for water, storm sewer and garbage. Stillwater charges $39.00 for the first 10,000 gallons in a quarter. Use over 10,000 gallons is billed at $2.10 per 1,000 gallons. Stillwater base their residential sewer bills on the water used during the first quarter of the year. The sewer bill you receive from Stillwater will be based on your water use during January through March of 2002 and will stay the same until next April. If you have any questions regarding this change you can call Lisa Taube,Utility Finance Clerk or myself at 651-439-4439. Sincerely, Jay E. Johnson,PE Public Works Director Tree City U.S.A.
