From this information, I have calculated the square footage of the addition and of the existing dwelling and arrived at a total square footage over 11,000 square feet for both. If you feel this figure is in error,please provide me with a plan of the existing dwelling, drawn to scale. In previous meeting with you regarding project, you were informed of the City of Oak Park Heights having adopted Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1306 - Special Fire Protection Systems. As such, for this project, you would be required to install a fire protection system in both the existing dwelling and the addition you plan to construct. In addition to the information you and your contractor have provided, the City asks that you submit: 1. Plans for any improvements/alterations planned to the existing dwelling, to those areas presently serving as your residence and that will be utilized as part of the bed and breakfast use upon completion of your addition; and 2. A fire protection plan for the existing structure and the addition to be constructed. Finally,the survey submitted, indicates that you are to acquire property from Xcel Energy. The City of Oak Park Heights will need documentation verifying this transaction and documentation from the Washington County showing that the East 30 feet of Lots 1 through 6, inclusive of Block 11 has been combined to your present parcel and recorded accordingly. I shall be contacting your contractor to collect your application materials and ask that you resubmit them after having obtained the additional items listed above.
