Call to Order: Chair Chirhart called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. Present: Commissioner Hoeppner and Commissioner Berres. Also present: Assistant City Administrator Pinski, Arborist Danielson, and Commission.Liaison Councilmember Dougherty. Absent: Commissioner Thoreson and Public Works Director Kegley. 11. Approval of Agenda: Commissioner Hoeppner, seconded by Commissioner Berres, moved to approve the Agenda. 3-0. III. Approve Parks and Trails Commission Minutes—December 20, 2021: Commissioner Hoeppner, seconded by Commissioner Berres, moved to approve the Minutes. Carried 3-0. IV, Department/Commission Liaison Reports: A. Arborist: Arborist Danielson reported that the City Council would be taking action at their next meeting to approve the 2022 Prairie Restoration Vegetation Management Plan which would include a spring mow and three to four weed control visits. B. Public Works Director: No report. C. Other/Commission Liaison Reports: No report. V. Visitor/Public Comment: None VI. Public Hearings: None VII. Old Business: A. Swa elk Playground Equipment Replacement Discussion: Three different options that were included in the packet were reviewed and discussed. Commissioner Hoeppner, seconded by Chair Chirhart, moved to recommend to City Council Option 2 for Swager Park replacement. Carried 3-0. B. Summer Park Program Coordinator Position: Chair Chirhart, seconded by Commissioner Hoeppner, moved to recommend to the City Council Annie Berres as the Summer Park Program Coordinator. Carried 3-0. VIII. New Business: A. Parks and Trails Commission Vacancies: Chair Chirhart, seconded by Commissioner Berres, moved to recommend Randy Thoreson for a second term, to accept Hal Peterson's resignation, and to advertise for vacancy. Carried 3-0. IX. Annual Meeting of the Parks and Trails Commission Election of Officers: Commissioner Hoeppner, seconded by Chair Chirhart, moved to postpone the meeting until the Commission had a full board. I will no longer be ,able to participate as of February 28th 2022 It is with great excitement and honor that I will be accepting thejob as the Oak Park Heights Summer Parks Program Coordinator.
