Re: Accessory Structures—Placement Violation& Permit Requirement Notification
Dear Mr. Kramer:
While I was in your neighborhood, I noticed that an accessory structure has been erected to the
rear yard area. I do not have a permit on file for the structure. City Ordinance does require a
permit for accessory structures per Ordinance 401.15.D. A copy of this ordinance section and an
Accessory Building permit application is enclosed for your review and completion.
Please note that you will need to verify your lot lines to ensure the lot line setback is compliantly
met. You are not required to obtain a survey for this; however,you will need to locate the
corners or have your adjacently affected neighbors acknowledge, in writing, the location of them
as marked and shown upon a site plan prepared by yourself.
Please complete the enclosed permit application and return to me with a site plan and details/plan
for the accessory structure construction or placement. Kindly return this prior to the end of
December.
I am happy to meet you on site or at City Hall to discuss City Ordinance requirements for
accessory structures and your project.
