Mr. Jim Butler
Building Official
City of Oak Park Heights
14168 N. 57th Street
Oak Park Heights MN 55082
Dear Jim:
The Association wants to thank you for your help thus far in resolving some
of the problems between the Association, the City of Oak Park Heights, and
Jack Krongard.
Item 3 in your letter to Jack Krongard dated July 30, 1998 pertains to our
Association.
A. Ra-Mar Plumbing truck— it has been removed and therefore
resolved.
B. Weeds. Some of the weeds have been cut down but we feel the
job is not complete and more work is required before we would
consider it resolved. This should be an ongoing project. Weeds
grow fast.
C. Dead tree. The dead tree is still at the NE corner of the vacant lot.
D. Spillway on the West property line adjacent to the church parking
lot. Please inform us what is happening with this issue.
Item 5 Grass must be cut at the vacant lot situated on the corner of 58th
Street N. and Osgood Ave. N. This has been partially done but we in no
way consider it satisfactory. This should be cut on a regular basis.
One issue we would like addressed is the retaining wall on the West side
adjacent to the church parking lot. We would like to see a site plan showing
landscaping design. Linda Carufel, one of our owners, has been in contact
with Melanie Mesko regarding the landscaping design plans and we are
waiting to hear from her. As you know the Association spent a good deal of
money to extend the retaining wall up the bank on the North side of the
spillway to prevent further erosion of the soil and rock. In order to recoup
our costs from Krongard Construction Co. in a civil suit we need to have
detailed plans of what was approved by the City.
We trust you, and the City of Oak Park Heights, will stand firm on your
position stated in your letter of July 30, 1998 to Jack Krongard and not issue
permits of any kind or do inspections requested for the 8-unit complex
presently under construction until a117 items and subcategories are handled
to the satisfaction of all parties concerned.
Sincerely,
James R. Meyer, President
