One changeable copy sign(manual or electric)is permitted per site provided that the changeable copy area is integrated
into the allowed sign and subEect to the following.
• _
• Changeable copy signs shall only be on freestanding signs.
• Sign shall not directly face a residentially ioned property.
• Sign shall be setback at least 50 feet from any side or rear lot line abutting a residential district.
• Changeable copy sign portion of the sign shall riot occupy more than 35 percent of the actual wiry and graphic area
of the sign.
• The sign message shall set steadily for a minimum of 8 seconds and shall not change less than every 10 seconds the
sign transition shall not be such that it appears to be moving. The transition shall be that the message comes in and
goes out—no sliding.roiling, scrolling,fading,etc.
• Hour,minute,date or temperature information shall not change less than every 3 seconds.
• Setbacks of thicken structure from house and lot lines.
• Electronic signs shall be shielded to prevent lights from being directed at oncoming traffic in such brilliance that it
impairs the vision of me di lye and may not interfere with or obscure traffic signs or signals. Lighting may not
illuminate any adtacent properties,buildings, or streets.
• No sign incorporating LED lighting may be illuminated in any way so as to exceed 5,000 nits during daylight hours or
500 nits from sunset to sunrise, measured at the sign face at maximum brightness
• Signs using fluorescent,neon or incandescent light sources shall not exceed 12 watts per square f.. of sign surface
area.
• AH signs incorporating i.E.13 lighting installed shall be equipped with a mechanism that automatically adjusts the
brightness to ambient lighting conditions to conform to the illumination requirements noted above.
• the owner of any LED illuminated sign shall provide certification as to compliance with these subsea:. s upon the
request of the Zoning administrator.
