We have spoken in the past as to the need for regular mowing and weed maintenance. At this time the yard area is over grown and needs to be mowed. Additionally, the trees adjacent to the neighboring property fence line, now appear to be dead as does another along the 57th St. roadway side of the yard. These need to be removed or otherwise abated. You may wish to contact the City Arborist, Lisa Danielson to see what options might be available for abatement, outside of removal. Xcel Energy may assist you with those near the powerlines. The unmaintained lawn, in its current state, is considered a public nuisance per City Nuisance Ordinance 1109 and the standing dead trees also a nuisance per City Ordinance 1302.05.6. A copy of both of these ordinances are enclosed for your reference. This letter serves as the City's request that the lawn be mowed and weeds be treated and/or removed prior to Friday, July 8 2022 and that the yard continue to be maintained on a regular basis. And, also that the dead trees be removed or otherwise abated as per City Arborist Danielson directionrip or to Monday,July 25, 2022. Thank you for your prompt attention to these matters. Once fully developed, it will feature vital connections to other state, regional, county and city trails, as well as parks, schools, and businesses in the St. Croix River Valley. This plan is in the early stages, and project staff have assembled a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) that will help guide the plan. The TAC includes representatives from Oak Park Heights, other cities/townships in the corridor, and key agency partners. At this stage we would also like to assemble a group of interested policy makers and staff from the corridor for an optional meeting to introduce the project and planning process. Thus, project staff will be hosting an event on Wednesday,June 29 6-7:30p at the Washington County Government Center (Room 11-11-14) in Stillwater, MIN. Elected officials and staff from your community, as well as the other ten communities in the corridor, are invited to attend this event. Attendees will participate in visioning and goal setting exercises that will inform the master planning process. There will be no route decisions made at this event. TAC members from your community will continue to be involved in the plan as it progresses, and there will be additional opportunities for elected officials/staff to participate and provide feedback. In future phases of this process, county staff will return to your community to review a proposed trail master plan and request approval. We request that you RSVP to this event and notify your city administrator/township clerk. We will send out an e-calendar event to those attending. High home prices and a surge in mortgage interest rates are slowing buyer activity, with home sales declining for the third consecutive month under the weight of soaring homeownership costs. The National Association of REALTORS@ (NAR) reports existing home sales were down 2.4% from the previous month, while pending sales fell 3.9% as of last measure, extending the trend of recent months. Economists predict sales will continue to soften in the near future, which may put downward pressure on home prices. New Listings in the Twin Cities region increased 3.2 percent to 7,930. Pending Sales were down 11.8 percent to 6,076. Inventory levels rose 5.3 percent to 6,797 units. i 24 of 34 Quick Facts 3.8% + 9.0% + 5.3% One-Year Change in One-Year Change inOne-YearChange in Closed Sales Median Sales Homes for Sale Price Prices continued to gain traction. The Median Sales Price increased 9.0 percent to $375,000. Days on Market was down 4.2 percent to 23 days. Buyers felt empowered as Months Supply of Homes for Sale was up 18.2 percent to 1.3 months. The slowdown in sales has provided a much-needed lift to housing supply, with inventory up 10.8% from the previous month according to NAR, although supply remains down 10.4% compared to this time last year, with only 2.2 months' supply of homes at the current sales pace. As the nation continues to explore ways to solve the ongoing housing shortage, estimated at 5.5 million homes, the Biden administration recently unveiled the Housing Supply Action Plan, which aims to expand housing access through a number of administrative and legislative actions and help relieve the nation's housing crisis over the next 5 years.
