Zoning & Development Items:
1.The City has received two applications for the OCTOBER Planning Commission –for the 80+ unit apt building on the west side of
th
Menards and the general plan submission for the VSSA apartment building on the north side of 58street behind Walmart. Staff
is reviewing these for completeness at this stage.
2.Enclosed are various code enforcement letters relating to yard sales and yard parking.
Other Items:
Staff did provide a letter to Xcel Energy outlining the City Council’s appointment to the Quarterly Stakeholder meetings–See
enclosed.
The Norell Project is movingforward…enclosed is the weekly update.
TheCity has received several applications for the
vacant Police Officer position; in order to respond
promptly as these applicants can be in high
demand, a STAFF COMMITTEE (Caruso, Zwach,
Vierling, Hansen)will be holding interviewsnext
week in an attempt to identify potentially two
candidates that may proceed to a final Chief’s
Interview and apossibleapprovalby the CIty
Council –pending background check.The Chief
has done a great job moving this process forward
andestablishing a process to get someone on-
board as fast as reasonablypossible.

that multi-year project up!Again, it took allkinds of
work, help and thought!
Xcel Energy providedgeneral information on their planned NATURAL GAS rate hike and their continuedproject for powerline updates
on the current transmission towers in our community.

Good Morning Mayor McComber,
I just wanted to drop you a line and say job well done on the ribbon cutting ceremony for the
opening of the new roundabout. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to chat, but I also wanted to say
thanks to you and the council for making Oak Park Heights a wonderful City to conduct business in.
Securing approvals for our Panera development and upcoming Popeyes Chicken project were an
efficient and successful process due in large part to the competency of City staff – including Eric
Johnson, Scott Richards, Julie Hultman, and Lee Mann.
Personally, I found the new roundabout to function very well btw!
