Our parks should: • Contribute to collective community identity • Provide a variety of active and passive recreational opportunities • Appeal to all ages • Contribute to the health and wellness of our colm!mu,nity • Create valuable green space The value in park walkthroughs is derived throuigh dliscussion with thie above concepts in mind. Think big picture. As we walk through the neighborhood parks, think about what changes (additions or removals) could improve park users experieni,ce, I am happy to note maintenance items, but understand, maintenance is ain ongoing pursuit aind we have PW staff working daily to taickle the never encling task, Attached youI'll find recent park walkthirough notes as well as parks and, trails related items from the 2021-2026 Capital Improvement Plain (CIP). Many items on the CIP were derived from past park walkthrough discussions, You'll likely notice most capital improvement projects have no immediate funding plan. This is thie nature of thie City's capital improvement plan, so during your walkthrough, don't worry about cost, or how specific projects might be funded. Your role is to be visionaries for how Oak Park Heights can best create parks for its users, NY c . °C a ani c ac a` Y m N r-1 e-1 M r-1 N N r-1 N M N rl M C dY N N M M N M M qt N Ln Ln e-1 ct oc a` Y m .--I M r-1 M V-1 N N rl M N co s-1 N oc a 3 N V a m E E E E a '^ o o O o V V V V h0 m _ W M +O+ C c!i O u M o N te 3 oN +.,Z 4-0 a N W E W o N a L 0,> W FA 00 N oa+' c G c C cL- O O 4J 'O M O 0.
