th
The CIty has received some feedback from Washington Countyon its provided MOU for the 58Street Extensionfrom 2020.Staff is reviewing
these comments in preparation fora meeting with CountyStaffon 8/24. Generally… the County appears to acknowledge in principle that the City
will not absorb costs for their regional project, which isa step in the right direction, some thingsneed some further clarification on timing, trail costs,
the signal at NealAve., utilities and the biding nature of the MOU.I will know more on 8/24 – but itseems generally positive.
The MSCWMO is updating its overall cost sharing splits / formula to reflect new numbers, the City share remains largely unchanged. See the
enclosed letter explaining the matter.
Staff hasissued a 6-month home occupation permit toa home onObrien Ave – (SEE ENCLOSED)fora day care; there are some conflicting rules
in the City’s Ordinances that need some updating and review. In short,a day careoperation --if onedoes NOT reside there – maybe run ina single
family home in a R1 zoning and wouldnot require a Conditional UsePermit. But,… ifone doesreside in the home – itwould require a CUP. But,…
in another Section - could also be interpreted that it does NOT require a CUP. We gave the applicanta 6-month term to sort out the issuesand deal
with some Ordinance complexitiesin the Home Occupation /DayCare Rules.
