DATE: Ift 8:2023
DESIGN CALCULATIONS:
• Based on wall loading and building characteristics outlined in the front page of this report.
of this report, assume a wall load of: 2,000 plf
Push Piers Design Spacing: 11 6.jeet
• Using the wall load and pier spacing indicated above, the load on each eier will be:
PIER LOAD = Wall Load x Spacing = 1 00 lbs L ACCEAB [SEE NOTE 1 BELOW]
• Using a Factor of Saftey of 2, the minimum driving force will be:
MINIMUM DRIVING FORCE = Pier Load x 2 = 24,000 lbs
DESIGN COMMENTS:
NOTE 1: This actual load is less than the "Average" Allowable Load per Pier of 29.3 kips; therefore
OKAY). Factor of Safety (FS) exceeds 2. See allowable system capacity ratings in ICC Evaluation

GENERAL COMMENTARY
The recommendations provided herein are based on our understanding of the project and subsurface
characteristics at the time of this report. Based on actual field conditions, helical piles may be installed
instead of push piers. If differing project conditions are encountered, IBA field personal shall notify
Engineering Department immediately for resolution.
Unless determined by a site specific soil boring and laboratory soils anlysis, the bearing capacity (net
allowable soil pressure) referenced in the first page of this report is based on our experience with soils in
the project area as well as the "Presumptive Load -Bearing Values" as outlined in the current Residential
Code. It should be noted that subsurface conditions can vary across the site due to natural occurence
or because of construction, clearing, tilling, or cut and grading operations.
I hereby certify that this plan, specification,
or report was prepared by me or under my
direct supervision and that I am a duly
Licensed Professional Engin r the laws
of the state of Min a.
