Absent: None.Chair Chirhart requested Commissioner Hoeppner take over the meeting. II.Approval of Agenda:Commissioner Thiets,seconded by CommissionerMarquardt, moved to approve the Agenda. Carried 5-0. III.Approve Parksand TrailsCommissionMinutesApril 17, 2023:Chair Chirhart, seconded by CommissionerMarquardt,moved to approve the Minutes. Carried 5-0. IV.Department/Commission LiaisonReports: A.Arborist:Arborist Danielson reported that the contract was approved by the City Council for a spring mow and a fall planting. B.PublicWorksDirector:Public Works Director Kegley reportedthat Swager Park playground equipment was ordered and scheduled for a June install. Chair Chirhart reported she observed a bear inher back yard. C.Other/Commission Liaison Reports:Councilmember Dougherty reported that Party in the Park was set for June 8 and clean up day was scheduled for May 21 from 7:30 a.m. to noon. V.Visitor/PublicComment:None VI.Public Hearings:None VII.OldBusiness:None VIII.New Business: A.Middle St. Croix Valley Regional Trail Master Plan:Connor Shaefer from Washington County provided a presentation. Commissioner Hoeppner, seconded by Commissioner Marquardt, moved to recommend to the City Council a Resolution of support for the RegionalTrail Master Plan. Carried 4-1, Van Dyk opposed. IX.Annual Meeting of the Parks Commission Election of Officers:Commissioner Chirhart, seconded by Commissioner Thiets, moved to appointGeorge Hoeppner as Chairperson. Carried 5-0. Commissioner Van Dyk, seconded by Commissioner Marquardt, moved to appoint Tom Thietsas Vice-Chairperson.Carried 5-0.
