It was nice meeting you. Per our conversation: 1. Illuminated exit signs with emergency lights need to be placed at both the interior side of the community room at the door leading to the main entry and also to the door at the outside wall, that leads to the exterior. This needs to be done regardless of any activity with the patio door windows. 2. A light at the outside of the community room door, that leads to the exterior shall be placed. The light fixture shall be a full cut off fixture, so that the illumination for the light shines downward and not out or upward. This needs to be done regardless of any activity with the patio doors. ➢ When 1 and 2 are done, so that the room is not in violation of the Fire Code, please let me know so that we arrange a visit to view their installation. With regard to the patio door windows: 1. These could be changed out to glass pane. All glass is required to be safety glazed by MN Code. A permit will be required. 2. You would coordinate work to have the doors fastened so that they do not open and the handles removed, with any holes being sealed. This would allow you to keep the safety glazed glass that you have, your natural light and would not require a permit. Notice that the doors are not operable or something to that affect shall be placed on the window pane. Keep us posted as to your plans and reach out anytime. 2 Have a great weekend!
