Dear Scott:
The following comments are in response to your plan review letter dated November 6, 2024 on the
above named project. Please see below for responses to the items included in your letter, which
have been reviewed by the design team and applicable consultants. Revisions that require updates
or modifications to the drawings will be incorporated for inclusion in the issued contract
documents.
1. Comment: Any mechanical equipment installed outside of the building shall be screened in
accordance with Section 401.15.E.10.e of the Zoning Ordinance.
Response: Per discussion with City of Oak Park Heights Planning and Code Enforcement, it is our
understanding that the only new exterior mechanical equipment, being an exhaust fan, will not require
screening due to its size and low profile compared to roof and wall elevations.
2. Comment: Any signage proposed for the site shall be in compliance with Section 401.15.G of
the Zoning Ordinance and will require a sign permit.
Response: Acknowledged. As part of the sign stadium improvements project, the District intends to
include school signage on the west side of the stadium press box (approximately 1,100 feet due east of
Stillwater Boulevard) that matches the existing sign on the east side of the press box, which is 3’-6”(h) x
36’-0”(w) (126sqft total). A signage permit will be obtained as noted. See attached drawing for analysis.
3. Comment: Any additional lighting proposed for the site shall be in compliance with Section
401.15.B.7 of the Zoning Ordinance.
Response: Acknowledged. No additional lighting on the High School building is being proposed.
Lighting on the press box is being replaced like for like.

4. Comment: Grading and drainage plans shall be subject to review by the City Engineer.
Response: Acknowledged; final grading and drainage plans will be submitted for review as required.
