Except as noted below, the construction documents submitted by your office for the project
described above have been reviewed and found to be in substantial compliance with the
requirements of the Minnesota State Building Code. Any significant changes in these documents
or changes in the construction of the building that will affect or deviate from the building code
shall be submitted to the Building Codes and Standards Division for additional review.
1. Inspections: Provide minimum 24-hour notice for field inspection requests. Call Chris
Meier, Phone (651) 336-8411 to schedule all building, HVAC, mechanical, energy code,
fire sprinkler, and alarm system inspections for this project. Permits Required:
Building, mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler, fire alarm and change of occupancy
permits are required before work begins as applicable for this project. Apply for
permits at htt s://www.dti.mn. ov/business) et -licenses -and- ermits/a I - ermit. Work
may not commence until required permits are issued from CCLD and required approvals
are obtained from the local municipality. Please note that beginning work without
obtaining permits is a violation of the Minnesota State Building Code. [MSBC

2. Reports/ Logs: Copies of all applicable required third -party inspection reports and/or
observation logs must be submitted to the Building Official as soon as they are completed
for code review and record purposes.
3. Materials and Equipment: Construction materials and equipment in use or stored must be
placed and organized so as not to endanger the public, workers, or adjoining properties.
4. Signage: All required signs must be installed prior to final inspection. Signs must be
constructed of durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible.
5. Mechanical Verification: Final Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical Systems Commissioning.
All new mechanical and electrical systems installed as part of this building project must
be final commissioned and/or tested and adjusted to assure proper function and
performance and to ensure that control elements are calibrated and are in proper working
condition. Systems, components, equipment, and interfaces between systems must
function and conform as required within the construction documents and pursuant to the
code. This work must be completed in accordance with the 2024 Minnesota Commercial

acceptance testing must be documented. Said documents must then be provided to the
DLI-CCLD Building Inspector at the final mechanical inspection of this project. [MR

Separate approvals and/or authorizations must be obtained for work covered by: CCLD/DLI
Plumbing Division for compliance with the provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code,
CCLDIDLI electrical unit for compliance with the State Electrical Code, the Elevator Safety
Section for approval of elevators and related devices, and the local municipality for other
requirements as authorized by law. NOTE: Work shall not begin until a building permit is
obtained from this Division.
A bound hard copy half -sized set of approved construction drawings shall be sent to the Regional
Building Official if the project was submitted electronically, the hard co documents shall
bear the Stampp of Approval from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. If the
documents submitted for plan review were submitted in hard copy, the half -sized set of
documents shall be the latest plan review version listed on this letter.

the Contract Inspector shall verify that the following applicable aggencies have approved work
under their Jurisdiction: CCLD/DLI Plumbing Division for compliance with the provisions of the
Minnesota Plumbing Code, CCLD/DLI electrical unit for compliance with the State Electrical
Code, the Elevator Safety Section for approval of elevators and related devices, and the local
municipality for other requirements as authorized by law.
