Zoning Permits Issued for New Privately-Owned Housing Units." The information requested is
summary level data on the number and valuation of residential housing units authorized by
building or zoning permits issued by your office during calendar year 2025. If your office has
changed status (i.e. no longer requires permits or has merged with another office), please
select the appropriate change and provide the requested information after logging into the
reporting system.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLASSIFYING RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS
RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS PERMITS TO EXCLUDE
Residential buildings are buildings containing one or more housing units.A housing •publicly-owned buildings
unit is a house,an apartment,a group of rooms or a single room intended for
occupancy as separate living quarters.Separate living quarters are those in which the ,•nonresidential buildings
occupants live separately from any other individuals in the building and which have a •moved or relocated buildings
