Present Trustees - Bell, Hefty, Larson, Monty. Mayor Johnson Purpose of meeting was to consider application ofNorthern States Power Co. for a building permit for their proposed plant in Oak Park Heights. Letter of application was accompanied by a sketch of the proposed plant and site. Discussion was held and it was brou ht out that the company is attempting to work out their sewage problems with Bayport. It will not be possible for them to use the street in Bayport just south of their property, so they will build an access to their property near the Zeuli residence . Motion was made by Larson, and seconded by Hefty that the attached resolution which authorizes the clerk to issue a building permit upon payment of a fee of $500.00 be adopted. Those in favor: Hefty, Larson, Monty, Johnson. Those against - none; Abstaining - Bell The following resolutions (attached) were read to the council , concerning unanimous support for the NSP plant, expedite hearings in this connection, and concerning park andrecreational areas in the metropolitan area. Motion was m,ie by Monty and seconded by Hefty that these resolutions be dopted. Ayes - BBell, Hefty, Larson, Monty, Johnson. ton was made and seconded that Mr. Bonestroo be retained to give whatever aid is necesssary to Mr. Eckberg in to connection with the hearings coming up on the proposed plant. Carried. Applications for on andbff sale liquor licenses were presented for Herbert M. Theissen, and laxxxxxx Lawrence Larson, for the year 1965. Motion was made and seconded that the licenses be granted. Carried. Larson abstained. Motion was made and seconded that the meeting; be adjourned. Carried. George L. Loe Clerk VILLAGE OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The Northern States Power Company has submitted an application for a building permit to the Village Council of Oak Park Heights for the construction of an electrical generating plant, auxiliary structures and appurtenances in said Village, and WHEREAS, the proposed location of said electrical generating plant, auxiliary structures and appurtenances is located in Sections Two and Three (2 & 3), an area that is zoned commercial-industrial, and, WHEREAS, it appears to the satisfaction of said Village Council that said application complies with all of the ordinances and regulations of said Village and, WHEREAS, it appears that it is for the best interest of said Village and the surrounding community that said building permit be granted, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That a building permit be issued by the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Park Heights to the Northern States Power Company in accordance with Ordinance No. 20, of said Village forthwith upon the payment of the required fee for said permit. That said permit be issued in accordance with plans, speci- fications and other pertinent information submitted to the Council and dated November 19, 1964.
