Mr. Rex Beach appeared to request permission to vacate the westerly 100 ft.
of Park Street. It was suggested he present a petition to the council
with a legal description.
Bell made a motion to accept a resolution setting a Public Hearing
on extension of water and sewer lines along the service road north of
Highway 212 to County Road 24 and north on County Road 24 to Prairie
Street and /or Millard St. for 8:00 P.M. July 22, 1968 at the Village
Hall. Seconded by Monty. Approved by roll call vote - Bell, Monty,
Larson, Johnson. Absent: Draxten.
Dr. Connell total assessable frontage is 355 ft. One parcel 210 ' x 300' ,
the other 145' x 200 ' . Mr. Lammers will advise.

in the proposed gate house on the Allen S. King Plant. Seconded by

Bell made motion to approve the M. E. Kraft Co. request for an extension
of the completion date of the Outfall Line . Completion date will be at
the descretion of the Village Engineer. Seconded by Larson. Carried.
Board of Review of real and personal property will be held Tuesday,
July 16th, 1968 at 9:00 A.M. till 12:00 noon. Mayor will attend.
Village Engineer was instructed to be sure the surveyor monument that
was removed during installation of water and sewer lines is replaced
in the proper position.
The following contractors have submitted the required documents and
paid the necessary registration fees and are recommended.. for council
approval. George Siegfried, Johnson Plumbing, Gardner Plumbing,
Derrick Construction Co. , Richard La Casse , Certified Cons. Co.
Bell moved to approve . Seconded by Larson. Carried.
Bell made a motion to authorize the Village Attorney to start
condemnation proceedings on the buildings located on the Schwandt property
located at 4th and Grove and the buildings located on the Charlson
property located on Walnut and Prairie St. Seconded by Monty. Carried.
Mr. Bonestroo presented the engineering plans and specifications for
the street construction. 30 ,120 ft. of road to be sub-cut 12" , 8"
gravel fill with 4" of base , prime and 2" mat. Estimated cost $145,000.00.
Larson moved to approve plans and specifications for road construction
and authorize to advertise for bids to be opened August 2, 1968 at
2:n0 P.M. at the Village Hall. Seconded by Bell. Approved by roll
call vote - Bell , Monty, Larson, Johnson. Absent: Draxten.
Mr. Bonestroo presented the report on drainage and surface water
situation and proposed solution for the area lying east of 4th St. and
south of Prairie St.
